Mr. Tan Cheng Peng was elected as First Vice President of the APSN Council

The 10th Meeting of the APSN Council was held on 17th-18th August, in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. Mr. Tan Cheng Peng, the Council Member of Singapore was elected as First Vice President of the APSN Council. Mr. Tan thanked the Council for its support and trust, and expressed commitment to serve the Council in the coming years.

Mr. Tan Cheng Peng is the Director of Port Policy in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. His responsibilities are long term port planning, port regulation and port policies and he had rich experiences in port industry. He is also Singapore’s Council Member to the APSN and Board member of IAPH. Mr. Tan used to be Second Vice President of the APSN Council from November 2013 to August 2017.

 

Dato’ Abdullah Yusuff Bin BASIRON, the former First President of the APSN Council will be retired after the Council Meeting from Ministry of Transport Malaysia and will not continually hold the position of First President of the APSN Council. Dato’ Abdullha acted as First Vice President since Nov. 2011-August 2017 and his contribution to the APSN was high appreciated by the Council.
