According to the Record of Decisions adopted by the fourth meeting of the APSN Council, the fifth meeting of the APSN Council is scheduled to be held on November 6-7, 2012 in Hong Kong, China.The meeting is kindly being sponsored by Marine Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR). In addition to the 16 APSN Council Members respectively from Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia;
Papua New Guinea; Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam, those invited to participate in the meeting include Advisory Board members, 100-plus APSN Regular members, more than 10 Regular members-to-be, and an array of key industry players from the port, shipping, and logistics sectors.
As a highlight, the first Advisory Board meeting will be held back to back to the fifth Council meeting, which will bring together industry leaders from port and port-related industries in the Asia-Pacific region to exchange and communicate on issues of common concern. In addition, the APSN Workshop on Green Shipping and Supply Chains is to be held on November 5, 2012, one day before the next meeting of the APSN Council.
